Feral eyes appear within the shadows of the forest, a place where time has been lost. The eyes have been awakened by the transforming light between day and night, finding their form from the light and shadow cast simultaneously by the setting sun and the rising moon. The eyes witness the last rays of the setting sun touching the cool light of the awakening moon. Awakening in the place of lost time, they cast their silhouette upon the forest, transforming it, and claiming it as their own.<\/p>\n

The theme of 2024 LUMA Southern Light Project is Aborea: Life amongst the Trees.
\nThe world around us is in a constant state of growth and change. The old meets the new, the organic world reaches out and merges with technology. Our kaitiaki guardians have strong roots forming deep connections with the past and each other. We live amongst this union not as witnesses but as active participants \u2013 every action brings us closer and allows us to express our culture through our voice, our imagination or our interaction.<\/p>\n
