As the sun sets and the bells of San Francesco fade, the sound of a new improvised work rises. The growing darkness gradually reveals two circles of light with brilliant rainbow halos projected onto the rippling surface of the basins, illuminating the water and dramatizing the ever-shifting currents. The stone archways are brought to life with the real time choreography of wind and water, as brilliant reflections capture and echo the animated water’s surface onto the structure’s interior.

Animation study looking north: https://vimeo.com/15420347
Animation study looking west: https://vimeo.com/15419663

RIFLESSI DAL FUTURO | 2010 Artist: Kristin Jones Original sound works: David Monacchi, Corrado Fantoni, Giovanni Mancuso, and Walter Branchi Concept images and animations: Daniel K.
