Brown<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/vjuji.wordpress.com\/\">Johann Nortje <\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">in collaboration with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kristinandreajones.com\/\">Kristin Jones<\/a><\/span><\/address>\n<address><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Music by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmonacchi.it\/\">David Monacchi<\/a><\/span><\/address>\n<address><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Previewed in the Italian Pavilion on the final day of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.labiennale.org\/en\/architecture\/exhibition\/iae\/\">2010 Venice Architecture Biennale<\/a><\/span><\/address>\n<address><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">A river composed entirely of flowing text reflected in both Italian and English.\u00a0 One line is readable upon the wall, while the translation appears upside down and readable as a reflection in the canal.\u00a0 Reflections of words, reflections of cultures, reflections of our duty to the next generation.<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">The word FLUVIALE\u00a0(&#8216;river-like&#8217;) is interpreted into 3 movements:<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">1.Corsi \/ Passages<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">FLUVIALE\u00a0begins with the river challenging the architecture, cleansing the architecture and reawakening history, an ending that proclaims a new beginning.<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">2. Genesi \/ Genesis<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">FLUVIALE\u00a0continues with the genesis of the river from the pure waters of the rains. \u00a0Fluviale integrates the four basic elements of nature as if stone, water, fire and air have merged into one river of flowing fire-light.<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">3. Riflessi \/ Reflections<\/span><\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">FLUVIALE\u00a0ends as a river composed entirely of flowing text reflected in both Italian and English. One line is readable upon the wall, while the translation appears upside down and readable as a reflection in the canal.<\/span><\/address>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The flowing texts for the animation read as follows:<\/p>\n<address>The genesis of all rivers is rain \u2013 water in its purest form.<\/address>\n<address>Rivers begin with single pure droplets.<\/address>\n<address>Raindrops transform into cascading rivulets.<\/address>\n<address>Rivulets form eddies.<\/address>\n<address>Water and light merge into one.<\/address>\n<address>Eddies flow and build into fluid Reflections.<\/address>\n<address>Reflections upon the importance of our world\u2019s waters.<\/address>\n<address>Reflections upon our sacred duty to honor our waterways.<\/address>\n<address>Reflections upon our obligation to rejuvenate our waterways for the sake of coming generations.<\/address>\n<address>Reflections of the Future.<\/address>\n<address>The architecture of Venice is one with its waterways.<\/address>\n<address>The waterways of Venice are one with the waterways of the world.<\/address>\n<address>The duty is clear.<\/address>\n<address>Reflections of the Future.<\/address>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FLUVIALE 3 Riflessi \/ Reflections Daniel K.
