On 28, 29, and 30 May the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rivertorivernyc.com\/\">New York River to River Festival<\/a> presented <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tevereterno.it\/wordpress\/\">TEVERETERNO\u2019s<\/a> <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=zWmzk3M63Xw\">Ombre dal Lupercale<\/a><\/strong> collection of animations and sound works in the United States for the first time, transposed for their downtown Manhattan sites.\u00a0Commissioned by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rivertorivernyc.com\/\">NYC River to River Festival<\/a> and City of New York as three nights of the 2008 opening launch.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/address>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018Wolf Arias\u2019 were unveiled on 29 May at <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Castle_Clinton\">Castle Clinton<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battery_Park\">Battery Park<\/a>. They investigate shadow symbolism in mythology, in this case interpreting wolf mythologies of the Hudson River in New York and the Tiber River in Rome using symbolism of the four elements of nature as historic aspects of ritual cleansing &amp; witnessing. They were projected outdoors at sunset onto the 6m high stone walls of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Castle_Clinton\">Castle Clinton<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battery_Park\">New York City\u2019s Battery Park<\/a> using 2 simultaneous projectors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=zWmzk3M63Xw\">TEVERETERNO&#8217;s <\/a><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=zWmzk3M63Xw\">Ombre dal Lupercale<\/a><\/strong> collection\u00a0was the only production to be provided its own catalogue, funded and produced by the event organizers. The collection was also one of only six events represented in the overall festival brochure in larger half page format (out of 340 events total). Funding provided by the City of New York and River to River Festival.
