FLUVIALE conveys the genesis of a river from the pure waters of the rains. FLUVIALE\u00a0integrates the four basic elements of nature as if stone, water, fire and air have merged into one river of flowing fire-light.\u00a0The work interprets and responds to the theme of the Italy Pavilion,\u00a0AILATI: Reflections of the Future, by literally projecting reflections upon the architecture of Venice for the 12th International Architecture Biennale. FLUVIALE<\/span><\/span> (‘river-like’), conceived for the Rio del’Arsenal in Venice, was shown in the Italy Pavilion on the final day of the 2010 Biennale. \u00a0The word FLUVIALE is interpreted into 3 movements:<\/span><\/address>\n

1.Corsi \/ Passages<\/span><\/address>\n
FLUVIALE\u00a0begins with the river challenging the architecture, cleansing the architecture and reawakening history, an ending that proclaims a new beginning.<\/span><\/address>\n

\n<\/span><\/address>\n
2. Genesi \/ Genesis<\/span><\/address>\n
FLUVIALE\u00a0continues with the genesis of the river from the pure waters of the rains. \u00a0Fluviale integrates the four basic elements of nature as if stone, water, fire and air have merged into one river of flowing fire-light.<\/span><\/address>\n

3. Riflessi \/ Reflections<\/span><\/address>\n
FLUVIALE\u00a0ends as a river composed entirely of flowing text reflected in both Italian and English. One line is readable upon the wall, while the translation appears upside down and readable as a reflection in the canal.<\/span><\/address>\n
